Tomorrow is election day in the United States. I hope everyone has a plan to make sure that their vote get submitted and counted. We are privileged to have the right to vote in a peaceful manner, something most countries in the world do not have available. There should be no reason not to vote especially if you want the right to continue complaining for the next two years. Anyone who hasn’t voted should not have the privilege to continue to complain since their non-vote is acceptance of whatever candidate wins the election. I’m voting, and have multiple plans ready to execute should there by any problems, which I don’t anticipate.
If the polls are to be believed, I’m taking them with a grain of salt, the Dems might actually have a good showing and flip a few seats in the House and Senate. It’ll be a bad two years for trump if congress is not controlled by the GOP. Not as if they got anything done when they did have power, more like they can’t effectively block legislation that helps the American people. My honest hope is that this is the end of the GOP as we once knew it and it’ll start to be something different in the post-MAGA years. The Dems have an opportunity to show they can govern effectively over the next two years despite a president playing Mr. Veto on everything. Oh man, if they manage to claw a super-majority, highly unlikely, but one can hope right?
Get off your butt, vote. Make plans to get there. Just go vote!
